CPE 521: Heat Transfer

Course Description:
An applied study of the various (conductive, convective, and radiative) heat transfer mechanisms in solid and fluid systems. Engineering applications include: conduction in solids and fluids, free and forced convection in fluids, simple and solar radiation, boiling and condensing fluids, and design of heat exchangers, evaporators, and furnaces. Prerequisite: C&PE 221 and a course in differential equations.
